Under the Electricity at Work Regulations it is the Law that an Employer must ensure that all Electrical Equipment used by Employees is Safe to use.

The Employer needs to demonstrate that they have all the necessary measures in place to maintain Equipment in good safe working condition.

PAT Testing is a very good way of checking and recording that all Equipment is Tested and Inspected on a regular basis and that all equipment is safe to use, this is particulrly important to Equipment having a plug and socket supplying power, although is not limited to those Items.
